Acacia Pet Clinic was incorporated November 1, 1967. Originally located on Almaden Expressway in San Jose, the practice was moved in January 1994 to a new state-of-the-art facility located at the corner of Branham Lane and Pearl Avenue.

The new hospital was designed by world-famous architect John Knapp, who has designed over 300 veterinary hospitals. Foremost in the design criteria were client and patient comfort, workplace efficiency and superior patient care.
