Otitis Externa - Henry 20305-049

"Henry" a 2 year old neutered male Cocker Spaniel was presented for severe discharge from both ears along with discomfort characterized by head shaking and scratching. It was determined that the ears were severely infected and would need to be cleaned and medicated under sedation. A sedative (Domitor and butorphenol) was administered and a routine ear flush procedure and exam was performed. Once the ears were flushed and cleaned it was determined that there were no foreign bodies (such as foxtails) and that each eardrum (tympanum) was intact. Medication (Otomax) was infused into each ear canal and "Henry" was sent home with Otomax and T-8 Keto Flush for home treatment.
